Bio:
Maggie has been a freelance photojournalist and travel writer for 10 years, working and living in such places as China, Mexico, Iceland, Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
She has worked for The New Yorker and Conde Nast Traveler, and been published in various print and online venues. She has a degree from New York University in social justice media studies, and is currently a master's candidate in social documentation at the University of California Santa Cruz. She is writing a feminist manifesto, and starting production on a documentary about companion animals.
