Bio:
Hamill has been a professional photographer for more than 20 years. As a photojournalist, she has covered a wide variety of subjects, from major American sporting events and U.S. border conflicts to immense historical shifts in Europe. She is a native New Yorker who began her newspaper career at the Las Vegas Sun in 1987. In 1989, she left the paper to live with her sister in Vienna, which gave her the opportunity to travel to Eastern Europe and the USSR. She has been on the staff of the Arizona Republic newspaper since 1993.
